Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
- Key Player in month-end close process
- Post monthly journal entries and accruals
- Review general ledger
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- Financial Statement Analysis
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assists with compilation of monthly forecasts, annual budgeting process
- Banking - processing electronic payments and monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepares filing of sales tax returns and related tax forms and ensure timely payments
- Processing and/or reviewing year-end tax forms (1099, 1042, W-2, 1094/1095)
- Working with division/business leaders to enhance and improve their operations
- Responsible for monitoring company credit cards
- Assists corporate finance staff and other departments with accounting questions
- Assists with internal and external audits
- Compiles and researches information for variance reports
- Adheres to Corporate Finance policies and procedures
- Cross-trained in the absence of other Corporate Finance team members as needed
- Maintain all contracts, licenses and renewals, including vendor management
- Review and approve sales commissions
- Report on KPI’s for departments
Qualifications
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field required
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of financial close, income audit, A/P and A/R accounting functions
- Working knowledge of accounting and basic tax principles
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and work together as an integral part of the team
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Emphasis on confidentiality
